FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE–Washington, DC (October 09, 2019): Transatlantic Leadership Network (TLN) Senior Executive Vice President Sasha Toperich, who directs the Mediterranean Basin, Middle East, and Gulf Initiative, announced on Monday that Ambassador John Craig will join TLN as a Senior Fellow. At TLN, Amb. Craig will advance the Mediterranean Basin, Middle East, and Gulf Initiative with his expertise in energy, international security, economic analysis, and the Arab Gulf region.
Amb. Craig held a distinguished career in the U.S. Foreign Service. In 1998, U.S. President Bill Clinton nominated Craig to be the United States Ambassador to Oman. After three years in the post he returned to the United States just after Sept. 11, 2001, to be appointed by President George W. Bush as a Special Assistant to the President for Combating Terrorism. He now works in the private sector.
